Agreeing to these terms

By using Dhruva, Dhruva Pro, app.dhruvaastro.com or dhruvaastro.com (together, "Dhruva") you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Dhruva. You must be 18 or older to create an account.

Astrology is guidance, not certainty

We work to make the calculations correct and to follow the traditions we describe, but different traditions and texts disagree, and answers written by AI can be wrong. Check anything important with a qualified astrologer.

Your account

• Give accurate sign-in details and keep your phone and Google account secure. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
• Add other people's details, such as family members' birth details, only when you have the right to do so.
• Tell us at once at [email protected] if you think someone else is using your account.

Using Dhruva fairly

Don't use Dhruva to:

• harass, threaten, deceive or discriminate against anyone, or demand or offer dowry;
• post content that is unlawful, obscene or someone else's without permission;
• impersonate anyone, or create profiles for people without their consent;
• collect other users' data, send spam, or try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and report unlawful activity to the authorities.

Marriage profiles

• Publish a profile only for yourself, or for an adult family member who has agreed to it. The person must be of legal age to marry in India.
• Keep the details true and up to date. Unpublish the profile when it is no longer needed.
• Dhruva is a place to find and check proposals, not a marriage bureau. We do not verify every detail users give. Meet carefully, check facts yourself, and use Block and Report when something is wrong.

Consultations with astrologers

• Astrologers on Dhruva are independent professionals, not our employees. They are responsible for their advice. We check their practice details before listing them.
• You pay the fee shown when you book. We collect it for the astrologer through Razorpay and keep a commission.
• If the astrologer does not deliver a report, or declines the request, you will be refunded in full. For other problems, write to us within 7 days of the report and we will look into it.

Dhruva Pro plans

• New practices get a 30-day free trial. After that, the features of a paid plan need an active plan.
• Plans are for the period you buy (a month or a year) and do not renew automatically. Prices include GST, and a tax invoice is issued for each purchase.
• Payments are not refundable once a period has started, except where the law requires it or we fail to provide the service.
• Your client records are yours. You are responsible for having your clients' permission to keep their details, and you can export them at any time.
• An Office plan's owner controls who is in the office and can see the shared client book.

Your content and ours

What you add to Dhruva stays yours. You let us store, process and show it only to provide the features you use, as described in the privacy policy.

The apps, the calculation engine, the texts, the design and the Dhruva name are ours. You may use the reports and certificates Dhruva makes for you, including sharing them with clients and family.

Liability

Dhruva is provided as it is. We try to keep it running and correct but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions made on the basis of astrological guidance, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law that cannot be excluded.

Ending

You can stop using Dhruva and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us. We may change these terms; if a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please write to us first so we can try to sort out any problem. If we can't, disputes will be decided by the courts of Kerala, India, without affecting your right to approach a consumer forum.
